Take the Curreri Viaggi bus directly to Positano (booking recommended). Alternatively, taxi to Napoli Centrale + Circumvesuviana to Sorrento + SITA bus to Positano.

By train from Naples

Train Naples → Sorrento (Circumvesuviana, ~1h 10min). From Sorrento, SITA bus Sorrento–Amalfi with stop in Positano. Scenic ride along the SS163.

By car from Naples

1h 30min 55 km

Motorway A3 Naples–Salerno, exit Castellammare di Stabia. Follow SS145 to Sorrento, then SS163 Amalfi Coast to Positano. Parking in town is limited: use the International car park.

By ferry / hydrofoil

1h 15min 40 km

From Naples Molo Beverello or Salerno: Alicost and NLG hydrofoils stop at Positano (seasonal, April–October). Scenic crossing along the Amalfi Coast.

The neighbourhood — Costiera Amalfitana

Casa Arienzo lies in the upper part of Positano, on the hillside facing the Lattari Mountains. From here the view over the village is different and more authentic: colourful rooftops, majolica domes and flower-filled terraces follow one another like a Mediterranean nativity scene.

600 metres downhill is the main beach with its lidos and seafront restaurants. Fornillo beach, quieter and more bohemian, is 1 km away. The centre of Positano with the Church of Santa Maria Assunta is a 10-minute walk through the characteristic stairways.

We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again when we return to Positano. The location was perfect! The room is spacious and decorated very nicely.
